About Us
Bill Borden is a seasoned Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 15 years of leadership experience in audit, technical accounting, financial reporting and taxation across public accounting, Fortune 500, and high-growth technology firms. His expertise spans complex accounting standards with a strong track record in process improvement, controllership, financial reporting, system implementation, and internal control design and implementation
He has held management roles at CPA firms such as Ernst & Young and BDO LLP, where he managed audits for public and private companies. In industry, he led technical accounting initiatives, streamlined accounting & finance processes, and supported major corporate transactions, including a $3 billion divestiture of a semiconductor business. Currently, as Managing Member of Blackforest Advisors PLLC, he provides strategic accounting, tax, and advisory services to businesses and individuals.
Bill holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts’ Isenberg School of Management. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) and proudly served as a Combat Engineer in the United States Army Reserve. He also volunteers as a tax consultant for VITA, providing free tax preparation services to underserved communities.
Outside of his professional commitments, Bill enjoys volunteering, live music, staying active outdoors, and exploring new towns and restaurants. His diverse professional background reflects a commitment to service, precision, and continuous improvement—values that define Blackforest Advisors PLLC.
